Hi. I’m Annette.
An artist living an art-filled life in beautiful and verdant Oregon, USA.
Growing up in an artisan community in India, art and color was woven in the world around me. I went on to study art at university in Uganda, then later continued with my creative practice while living in Bali and Thailand.
I wear many creative hats and love exploring different ways to make and express myself. Yet through every creative journey, I find myself returning to watercolor.
Watercolor is my anchor
As a self-taught watercolorist, I have a deep connection with this medium. Watercolor painting grounds me and is a reminder that not everything needs to be controlled.
Watercolor has taught me to dance with uncertainity, find beauty in the unexpected and practice patience.
It’s more than an artistic practice. A way to relax, be present and make space to simply BE.

Story behind Pause+Color
I created Pause+Color to share what this creative practice continues to give me: the freedom to explore, the patience to let things unfold and the simple joy of being immersed in the moment.
A blend of art and wellness, where watercolor guides you to a little more presence, a little more ease and a mindful moment that belongs to you.
Pause+Color experiences invite you to slow down, explore color, and reconnect with yourself.
Because sometimes, all you need is a pause.
